Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton / Family Fun Day was originally launched in 2013 by Darina Allen demonstrating fish dishes in association with the Ballycotton Fisherman’s Association on Ballycotton pier. In 2016, Rachel Allen showed us how to make a simply delicious cheviche from a freshly caught turbot.
Seafood & Shanty Ballycotton came about due to a local businesses initiative aimed to educate and promote the importance of fishing and farming in rural Ireland and to showcase our beautiful village #Ballycotton
